ABOUT US
We can create CAD models and manufacturing drawings to compliment them. Turn old 2D drawings into 3D CAD models with new manufacturing drawings exported in a number of formats.
If you need that hard to find broken part redesigned or a prototype for your next project, we're here to help you bring your ideas to life.
DMP 3D can supply this service remotely from Mildenhall, Suffolk throughout East Anglia and the UK. We've helped entrepreneurs and companies from Australia to the USA with 3D designing prototypes and final designs to supplying 3D printed models and end use items.
OUR WORK
We can 3D print using a FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling) process on our Raise3D E2 with a build volume of up to 330mm x 240mm x 240mm and Ulitmaker 2 + Extended with a build volume of 223mm x 223 mm x 305mm high. We can 3D print in a number of different materials like PLA, ABS, ASA, TPU and CPE (PETG). We also have a MSLA 3D printer which uses resin and UV projected light to produce some really nice finishes and high level of detail. Currently it uses a Black or Grey PA-Like resin and ABS-like tough with a build volume is 219mm x 123mm x 250mm.
We have the latest Solidworks Professional license to generate 3D CAD models and assemblies, 2D CAD drawings for manufacturing and 3D photo-realistic rendered images.
We also use QuickSurface, Mesh2Surface for Solidworks and GeoMagic for Solidworks to compliment our 3D scanning service using our recent investment of a blue laser and infrared 3D scanner as well as a structured white light 3D scanner.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
We aim to give you the best 2D, 3D design and physical parts that you require.
Design For Manufacture (DFM) is always at the front of the process. So if you aim to have a product manufactured we will do our utmost to ensure it can be done in a cost effective way.
We are also in contact with several manufacturing companies in the UK so we can even point you in to the right direction or manage the manufacturing process for you.
